Project background
The Martock Ridge project was developed and are operated by SWEB Development within the context of the “Community feed-in tariff program”. Project planning commenced in 2012, and project development work lasted for about two years.
Martock Ridge was built on top of the mountain overlooking Martock Ski Resort and the town of Windsor, Nova Scotia. The project was built on a granite ledge and 100% of the gravels needed for the roads and crane pads on-site were generated from the project site. This 6-megawatt project consists of three turbines and supplied 1,972 homes with energy last year.
